Goldsmiths Guild

The Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand (GGNZ) is one of two specialist bodies within the Jewellers & Watchmakers of New Zealand Inc.

Formally the Jewellers Guild of New Zealand, the Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand promotes the training of apprentices and additional training of qualified tradespeople. This is in order to enhance and maintain the skills its members require Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand members have industry-recognised qualifications and agree to abide by the Jewellers & Watchmakers of New Zealand Inc. Code of Ethics.

Both Peter Cameron and Sam Drummond are proud members of the Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand.  Their hard work and dedication to the industry means they both have a place in the Guild and a Goldsmith’s stamp to sign their work.

Peter is also a current serving Committee Member of the Guild.

Special pieces made by Peter and Sam will carry the Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand stamp, the Cameron Jewellery stamp and if made by Sam, his own artisan stamp.

These stamps can be found on the inside of the band of a ring or on the back of the piece of jewellery, and are a mark of craftsmanship and authenticity, just like an artists signature. Each piece of jewellery stamped with the Guild stamp is also recorded on our system, so also acts as a proof of ownership for the buyer.

Cameron Jewellery is also a member of the New Zealand Jewellers & Watchmakers of New Zealand Inc. and is the only member of the Goldsmiths Guild of New Zealand in the Manawatu.
