Lured deep into the woods by Pan, that most mischievous and romantic of the Greek gods, we’re bound up in an ancient midnight tribute to the mythic power of the forest. The symbols making sport for the gods? The acorn and the oak leaf, imbued not just with classical allusion, but also with the Karen Walker DNA, after all, isn’t the acorn necklace one of Walker’s most iconic jewellery pieces? From little acorns then grow…more little acorns.

“We love reinventing and reinterpreting our designs,” Karen says. “Our acorn is such a beloved piece and in revisiting it our approach was less sleek and more whimsical, almost as if we were rough casting organic matter fossicked for on the forest floor. All the pieces capture the texture and detail one sees in the real thing and we intensified that by going almost micro miniature with most of the collection.
